A new solution to skin rejuvenation is here!

Stacy Allende

Are you feeling disappointed with your current skin condition? Have you been hiding behind your Covid mask? Do you feel embarrassed by acne scars or sun spots and wrinkles? Do you need to wear makeup just to feel comfortable in your skin?

Of course it is important to have proper skincare according to your skin type, but when it comes to imperfections such as those mentioned above, our skin needs to be “activated” for it to repair itself.

Methods to do this vary from superficial peels to advanced exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion. However, to get the best results, treatments need to target the source down to the cells.

At Glamourize Me, you will achieve results that will improve your self esteem so that you are comfortable in your own skin without makeup and you won’t have to rush to apply makeup if someone is coming over, or just to go to the grocery store so that no one sees your scars or discolorations etc. This can be achieved with a new advanced treatment called Microchanneling. This is considered the next generation of microneedling with less trauma to the skin and quicker healing time when compared to microneedling.

How does it work?

When you cut or scrape yourself, your body produces the necessary collagen to repair that area of the skin. It is a natural reaction for the body to heal itself when it is traumatized in some way. With Microchanneling, I create a controlled injury to the skin with the use of little needles that create micro channels in the skin causing the skin to think it’s being injured and as a result will produce the necessary collagen and elastin to heal itself and repair imperfections that are present in that area such as acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and saggy skin. This also allows targeted serums to enter the skin deeper than they would otherwise. It creates a direct channel to the cells that produce collagen and elastin.

Microneedling has come a long way since the first dermal rollers were invented. Microneedling pens can be quite effective with improving collagen production, however it can also be traumatic to the skin when it is being glided over the skin because it can potentially cause scratches in the skin.

With microchanneling, the device is stamped onto the skin so that the needles do not scratch the skin as they are being moved to another area. This produces a more precise and targeted result.

How many sessions will it take?

Certain conditions may take longer than others to treat especially if the condition has been present for many years, and also for deep pitted scars. but you can start to see improvements in as little as one or two sessions. It is recommended to do at least 3 sessions but it can take 6 or more sessions for best results.

Each session takes about an hour to an hour and a half which includes double cleansing, an enzyme exfoliant and a hydrating and soothing peptide mask at the end of the treatment.

You can see some before and after pictures HERE and to book an appointment for a consultation to see if this treatment is right for you.

Makeup can be a great way to enhance certain features of your skin, but don’t be a slave to it and have to depend on it just to live. Stop hiding and let your skin be free of that heavy concealing makeup. Book and appointment today.

Softer Smoother and Younger Looking Skin, is just One of the Reasons You Should Get a Monthly Facial

Stacy Allende

Have you ever had a facial? Some people get facials just for relaxation once in a while. Others get them more often because they have skin conditions they want to address such as dull skin, wrinkles, sun damage, acne etc. One question I get asked after someone gets a facial for the first time is, “How often should I get a facial?” Regardless of why you get facials, it is highly recommended that you get one done on a monthly basis. Sure, they are relaxing, but that’s not the only reason why you should get them done.
